                1868 UK patent encompasses lockstitch, chainstitch and double 
                loopstitch designs. Fig.1 illustrates the lockstitch model, which 
                incorporates a swivel feature in the needlebar guide h, 
                allowing it to be turned into a horizontal position when necessary 
                to facilitate access to the needle. However, most surviving examples 
                seem to have dispensed with this feature.The machine shown in Fig.19 is a friction drive chainstitch variant.
