C.T. Judkins

Patented in the UK in 1865, Judkins' chain stitch design incorporated Raymond's improved looper, which had been originally registered in the US in 1861. The specification also included a simple thread tension adjuster, a feature regularly used by Judkins since his first patent thirteen years previously.
